About the Committee

The Verein für Socialpolitik is an association of around 4,000 German-speaking economists. It is one of the largest and oldest societies of economists in the world. The Standing Field Committee Social Policy was founded in 1968 and deals, among other things, with issues of social insurance, income distribution and labor market policy.
